Equity Allies works with the partner organization to determine the duration and scope of consultation. During the consultation engagement, the partner organization has access to Equity Allies’ consulting, organizing, and advising for a determined number of hours per month.
Structure.
Equity Allies work with the partner organization in stages to:
- Determine areas of need for growth and organizational shifts
- Collect and analyze data from employees, clients and/or existing policy for growth and development opportunities
- Recommend, and support the implementation of shifts in policy and procedure
- Meet with focus groups to assess the impact of policy and procedure shifts
- Continue to shape and adjust the plan until the desired outcomes are achieved
- Recommend and support the implementation of transformative values that can guide inclusive future policy and procedure.
Process.
Consultants will observe the culture, climate and procedures of the partner organization and collect data. We will pay special attention to language, cultural policies, and individual assets which promote healthy, equitable relationships and working environments. We may administer surveys or conduct interviews with faculty and staff members to understand strengths and weaknesses within the work culture, policies, or interpersonal relationships. This aspect of the partnership may last anywhere from a few days to a few weeks.

Optional Add-ons.
Train-the-Trainer.We may work with your organization to identify an Organizational Leadership Cohort (OLC) to be trained as embedded gatekeepers and guides, who will ensure that the organizational shifts and learning become integrated knowledge. Trainers in Training meet regularly over a mutually-determined period of time to learn Equity Allies curriculum, facilitation and mediation skills. Once trained, the OLC can train incoming employees for the duration of the active curriculum license period.
